WHAT WE BELIEVE

The following are the core values of The Hope Faith Center based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

GOD

There is one true God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
These three (the Trinity) are co-equal and co-eternal. God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Savior.
Deuteronomy 6:4 | Matthew 28:19 | 2 Corinthians 13:14 | 1 John 5:7 | Genesis 1:26 | Matthew 3:16-17 | Luke 1:35 | Isaiah 9:6 | Hebrews 3:7-11

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. On earth, He was 100% God and 100% man. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return in power and glory.
John 1:1-2,14 | John 20:28 | 1 Timothy 3:16 | Isaiah 7:14 | Colossians 2:9 | Hebrews 4:15 | 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 | Acts 1:9-11 | Philippians 2:6-8 | 1 Timothy 2:5 | Revelation 19:11-16

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is a divine person sent to regenerate, indwell, guide, teach, and empower believers. He convicts the world of sin and distributes spiritual gifts for the Church's edification.
John 14:15–18 | John 16:7–13 | Acts 1:8 | Titus 3:5 | Galatians 5:16-18 | 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

THE SCRIPTURES

The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only rule of Christian faith and practice.
2 Peter 1:20–21 | 2 Timothy 3:15–17 | Psalm 119:105

MANKIND

Mankind was created in God's image for fellowship with Him but fell into sin through Adam. Redemption is found only in Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:26-30 | Genesis 3:6 | Genesis 3:15-19 | Romans 3:23 | Romans 5:12-21

SALVATION

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Those who believe in Christ will have eternal life; those who reject Him will be eternally separated from God.
Ephesians 2:8-9 | John 3:16 | Romans 10:9-10 | Galatians 2:16 | Titus 3:5 | Acts 16:31 | Hebrews 9:22

SANTIFICATION

Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
1 Thessalonians 4:3 | 1 Thessalonians 5:23 | 2 Corinthians 3:18 | 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 | 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 | Romans 8:29 | Romans 12:1-2 | Hebrews 2:11

By the power of the Holy Spirit, we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.”
Sanctification is the will of God for all believers and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word.
Hebrews 12:14 | 1 Peter 1:15-16 | 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 | 1 John 2:6

THE CHURCH

The body of Christ, the Church, consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again
of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Church, which is called to be the light of the world and has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world
as a witness, preaching the gospel and making disciples of all nations. The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together
for the worship of God, or edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Ephesians 1:22–23 | 1 Corinthians 12:12-14 | Hebrews 10:24-25 | Matthew 28:19–20 | Acts 2:41–47

GATHERINGS AND WORSHIP SERVICES

Rooted in the belief that the Church is the holy Body of Christ, we view our gatherings as essential, offering comfort, hope, and worship central to the lives of our congregants.
Matthew 16:18 | Hebrews 10:24-25 | Acts 2:42 | Psalm 122:1 | Matthew 18:20 | Ephesians 4:11-12

GOD'S WILL FOR PROVISION

It is God's will for believers to become whole, healthy, and successful in all areas of life.
But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God's will while on Earth.
That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ's provision in order to better serve others.
John 3:3-11 | 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 | Romans 10:9-10 | 2 Timothy 1:7 | Philippians 4:7-8 | Romans 12:2 | Isaiah 26:3 | Isaiah 53:4-5 | Matthew 8:17 | 1 Peter 2:24

THE RESURRECTION AND SECOND COMING

There shall be a bodily resurrection of the living and the dead. For the just (saved), a resurrection unto life and of the unjust (unsaved), a resurrection unto judgment.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 | 1 Corinthians 15:20–23 | John 5:28–29

The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent. The saints will return with Christ to the earth, at His Second Coming, to rule and reign with Him.
Hebrews 10:37 | Jude 1:14 | Daniel 12:1-2 | Revelation 21:1-22:5 | Revelation 19:11-16 | Revelation 20:4 | Titus 2:11–14

WATER BAPTISM

Baptism, as commanded in Scripture, is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life,
and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead.
Matthew 3:13-17 | Matthew 28:19-20 | Mark 1:9-11 | Luke 3:21-22 | Acts 2:41 | Acts 8:35-39 | Acts 16:30-33 | Romans 6:3-5 | Colossians 2:12

THE LORD'S SUPPER (COMMUNION)

Communion is a symbolic act of obedience for members of the church body. By partaking in the bread and the fruit of the vine, we share in the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ, remembering His suffering and death, and proclaiming His second coming. This observance, enjoined to all believers, serves both as a memorial of the Redeemer's sacrifice and an anticipation of His return, to be practiced "until He comes."
Matthew 26:26-30 | Mark 14:22-26 | John 6:48,51,53-57 | Luke 22:19-20 | Acts 2:42 | Acts 20:7 | 1 Corinthians 10:16,21 | 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
